Everything old is new again. Well, at least with jacket lapels. This 1970s/80s-era Polo Ralph Lauren herringbone jacket (made in USA!), which I picked up at an antique store in Bridgehampton, NY for about fifty bucks, bears a striking resemblance to the wide-lapelled Garrison model Ralph has been touting of late.

love the blazer & shirt combo!
This outfit is perfection! I must find that belt
Thanks! It’s called the “Quentin” or “Double H” reversible belt from Hermès. It was pricey, but I get a LOT of wear out of it. Not on their website but they usually have them in stores.
Thank you! I have never seen it on the website!
Laurel in the Tyson’s store is wonderful, you can tell her I sent you. You could try a reputable secondhand seller like Malleries or perhaps eBay–because the belt is rare, there are few knockoffs.
van your looking smokin’ hot as usual !!
Fabulous outfit. Classic, yet cool!
In addition to you having a good eye for the garments you chose, your tailoring always seems to be perfect. Could you comment on any good tailors in the DC area that you use? The price of tailoring seems to have gone through the roof in the past few years, and the quality of some shops has declined.
Thank you! I have been using Dien Do at Mr. Do’s in Georgetown since 2006. He can be pricey (~$150 for major sportcoat alterations) but in my mind it’s worth it for the quality of the tailoring. He is great and really stands behind the work he does–and he actually worked on the jacket in this post. Hope that helps!
Great find with the blazer! great slippers!
Why not try to make yourself less stuffy & more playful? A simple white crew neck T, shorten the jean & show your ankle, a pair of plain white runner from Muji. Check into Oliver Peoples for some great frames. Get rid of the pocket square & put a flower on the lapel.
so hot…
