Summer Silk

Recently, Lauren has been loving womenswear brand Ramy Brook, founded three years ago by fashion insider Ramy Sharp. These slouchy silk pants are a great summer staple–with the right shirt, they transition perfectly from a lunch date into a cocktail look.

Bows for Beaus

On an unseasonably warm February day, Van let me borrow his bow tie. Since this is masculinity at its peak, balance the look with something ultra feminine: short shorts or a playful skirt, and of course a bright lip. Girls, grab your beau & borrow from the boys! (Van, its a slippery slope–I have been eyeing your oxford collection for a year now…)

Tuckernuck Styled: On the Waterfront

On one of DC’s first nice afternoons, we spent the day with the folks from online boutique Tuckernuck at their colorful Georgetown HQ, trying on spring looks for a feature on their blog, Tuckernuck Styled. We had a tough time picking from their array of preppy staples, but eventually settled on pieces from Annie Griffin, Castaway Clothing, and Harding-Lane, among others.

Color Club

One morning returning from a walk along the Palm Beach Lake Trail, I popped into a new boutique, Alene Too. It was love at first sight; I wanted the entire store in my closet.

The bright colors and vivid pattern on this dress immediately caught my eye. It is perfect for the sunny weather & if winter ever leaves, D.C. – for a spring outing in the District.
